First buck I've had on this property pegged on a summer pattern that was consistently mid day. Oddly enough, I've only hunted this section of property sporadically in past years due to poor exit routes. I MAY risk a set when the wind is right once in the first week of the season to setup on this guy. I have a good idea of what he's doing and where he's coming from. This little guy should have some potential next year as well:
Thanks. He's no monster, but for my area, he's solid, and a shooter for me. The daylight pattern is a plus, but certainly no guarantee. Oddly, my mineral sites that were hammered this time last year with bucks, are dead. This is the only consistently producing site.
Great deer. We have a ton of bucks on mid day patterns right now. Hopefully some of them stay on those patterns. Most probably won't once they shed the velvet.
Disregarding mid-day pictures, I do a bad job of staying in the stand from a morning hunt to catch a mid day buck. It's one of my goals this year. He would be a shooter on my property.
Nice buck. I have one little buck patterned pretty well. It's just if they stick to it when the season comes. Good luck this fall Sent from my XT901
