Not bad for a freshman QB, who played his first ever college game last week. He really came out and gave the Buckeyes all they could handle. Congrats to the Buckeyes, but I will always be a Hawkeye fan.
It's really a shame the Big 10 does get an automatic BCS birth. I'm not a big fan of the who-played-whom scenarios, but in this case I'll throw this out there: An extremely sub-par, middle of the pack Pac-10 team with a freshmen making his first career start against a ranked team went into the horse shoe and beat the best team in the Big 10. May have been a great game this saturday, however, all that was on the line was a Big 10 title which usually equates to National mediocrity.
Yeah the ACC is really lighting it up this year, who's best team lost to a mediocre Miami Hurricanes team with 3 losses
I don't think the ACC was mentioned, but I think most would agree that GT would run circles around any vaunted Big 10 defense as they have over everyone else they've faced All in all, though, it doesn't really matter...It's an SEC college football world and everyone is else is just living in it
you want some cheese with that whine??? btw - based on teh score (24-15) it doesn't look like it woulda changed the W to an L for bama
Did you watch the game? That INT took place with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, when LSU was down only 6. The refs missing that call allowed Bama to score the field goal which put the game out of reach. If the correct call would have been made, LSU would have had plenty of time to drive down the field to score the winning TD. And yes, I know I'm whining. But I don't care. I'm still pissed 2 weeks later.
I just found it comical that you were bashing the Big 10 with an ACC avatar.... When the ACC is no better than the Big 10, who also gets an automatic BCS game.
I agreeeee. The ACC nor the Big East is any better off than the Big 10. I just like ragging on Ohio State because every year to kick off the season you hear "this is Ohio State's year, they've got it all in place." But, until they enter this century and start recruiting speed at the skill positions they're going to be a distant second to SEC teams. Then again, I'd imagine its a bit harder for big10 schools to get speed and athletes as they don't quite have the recruiting hot-beds that are found in the south. p.s. the avatar is just out of respect for the alma-mater, no way would i misconstrue the ACC as a football conference
