What is the difference between the regular stick-n-pick, and the mini. What are the advantages of each?

regular is more stout and sturdy, taller, and not really packable.

mini is light weight, shorter, and packable.

That is just what i have gathered. I have never used one due to making my own with the fence post... I would still like to get a few of the regular stic n pic to have though

    Exactly what these guys said.

If you're on relatively flat ground and are using a newer, light weight camera the mini mount works great. I've been using them on field edges here locally (NE IL) without a problem.

If you're in hilly terrain you may want to go with the original mount simply because of the added height you gain. I've had more than a few situations where I've had to raise the mount up nearly all the way to get it where I wanted. Also, the mount is a little sturdier when helps keep your camera in place if you happen to be somewhere that's windy.
