I used to always strap my cameras to trees and settled for "good enough". I been making a few "hokie" trail camera stands at work this year. They work ya,,, but not much adjustment. Always heard good thing about Stic N Pics.Checked one out at a show this past winter but didnt grab one. Today I was at a show and Stic N Pic was there and I picked one up on sale. Initial thoughts so far- This thing is well built. I work in a metal shop/in the Sheet Metal Workers Union, so I know a thing or two about fab'n up metal stuff. I am very impressed with the welds, how sturdy it is, how light it is and the fit and finish.Just the over all ingenuity of the product impressed me. He (Jesse) gave me a run down of what is what and how he recommends it to be used with the Coverts. So no more homemade stands for this guy, even though they cost me the price of scrap steel. The Stic N pic is just a better set up if you are not going to strap your camera to the tree. Possibilities are endless!
I have about 1/2 dozen Stic-N-Pics and they're far and away my favorite way to put cameras out. Instead of worrying about which tree will work I worry about exactly what area I want to cover and let the SNP do the rest. In fact I moved a camera today to an apple tree that's getting hammered by the deer. It's in the middle of a grass field and there's nowhere to mount a camera with a strap. I simply took the SNP, stuck it in the ground next to the crooked trunk, set the height, turned the camera on and left.
I agree. So many different ways to go about getting pictures. Alot of guys here on the forums inspired me to try different set ups and get creative. This stic n pic you can do that.
I've got one but I haven't used as yet. I need to adapt it to fit my homebrews since none of them have a screw-in mount. Blessings.........Pastorjim
Stic-N-Pic Trail Camera Mounting System - Track Wildlife - Made in USA Better give the link instead of taking a crappy cell phone picture lol. I will get it out here soon.
I have one and can't say enough good things about it. I plan on picking up a couple more, found out my local outdoor store is carry them now!
Still have not got it out on trail cam duty yet. I am going to bring it into work to show it off to my trail camera buddies then swing in by a local archery shop. I set up the washers the way Jesse said for the coverts seen here : So it goes bolt, white washer, bracket, white washer and topped with any flavor of the Covert camera line up
