Anyone ever hunted near Stevens Point, WI? I drew a tag for this unit since I attend UW Stevens Point. Problem is, I can't find any turkeys! I've done a lot of scouting around public land and drove a lot of roads looking for birds, but can't find any! Any reassurance that they're here would be helpful! Thanks!

I hunt about 40 min northeast in Tigerton area, lots of birds. Kicked some birds off some public land last fall around rosholt, also scouted some public in the Rosholt area this spring that had sign from this spring. PM me if you'd like and I'll let you know the public ground Ive covered, don't know how far you want to drive.

Saw tons of Turkeys yesterday along Hwy 110 just out of Point. You shouldn't have to look too far. Go out early and listen for gobbling, before or right at first light this weekend and pin point em. Good luck.

Talked to my Uncle in Big Falls area today. 7 youth hunters got big birds this weekend around the Whitcomb Creek public hunting area outside of Marion. Try there if nothing else. It's huge tract of land. Good luck !!
