Just left Walmart about 30 minutes ago with a sack full of Realtree Xtra Green with scent control clothing and I am like a kid at christmas. Soon as I got in the door I started trying it on, I had to stop myself from putting on the facepaint lol.
I'm doing tons more this year. just spent about 200 on scent blocker pants and jacket and scent lok gloves.
Lol that's what I said when I was first standing there looking at it....then it kind of went from a question to a very excited "WALMART SELLS SCENT CONTROL CLOTHING!!!!!". They have just now started putting out the camo clothing for hunting simply because its about a month away, but I think it is the first year that they have carried anything that is scent control and compared to Scent-Blocker and Scentlok it is EXTREMELY cheap.
oh i'm so jealous.. this will be my first year bow hunting.. my husband thinks i'm gonna chicken out or freeze IF we see a buck.. this weekend we are setting up our new two man tree stand.. in the backyard.. so I can practice shooting from it before setting it up in the woods.. I've only been shooting at targets and just recently at a foam deer and all from a standing position at the same level.. anyway.. I digress.. I can hardly wait to go camo shopping!!! carol
I believe that as well. I don't own an ounce of scent control clothing but clean clothes , hair and body and the before I step into the woods spray down seems to work just as well.
Welcome to the addiction and many lost hours of sleep that is whitetail hunting carol. I was my clothes with scent killer gold and I take showers with the scent killer products so I know I'm scent free and I spray down before I go into the woods and I also play the wind. But I like to have every advantage possible, especially when it doesn't cost a couple hundred dollars each article of clothing. Which is why I picked up the scent control stuff at Walmart even though I know a lot of our more grizzled members may not believe in it but to each his own.
