Finally picked up my first trail cam yesterday. Bass Pro had these feature-packed cameras on sale for $125, so I got one. Tested it in the back yard last night, and it seemed to work fine. Put it out this morning.

Been looking for some reviews of the newer Unit models (a U in the model number), but I haven't seen any yet. I hear the bugs from the original have been corrected. I'll let you all know for sure in a few days!

Is this different than the one they reviewed on chasingame? I had high hopes for this camera when I first saw it, given the size. But after the reviews, I wasn't sure about it. Hope it works well for you.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

The chasingame review that I was able to find was the original model they put out. It's since been revamped to get the bugs out, and they gave it a new model number to help people identify new and good from old and crappy. Havent seen any reviews for the new one, but with all the features this little camera has at an affordable price, I couldn't pass it up.

Well, camera sat out for a week along the only run on the property. I saw deer on this trail every sit in October, but after the corn was cut, they only hung out for about another week, feeding on the little that was left. I thought there might still be deer on the property, but it's pretty clear that they've moved on to find late season food.

The only pictures I got were of me walking in on Saturday morning, looking at the picture counter as it read zero, then quickly took 3 quality pictures of me looking extremely frustrated as I though about how quickly and obviously my spot has plummeted downhill. My season is done because I'm not going to put in hours on stand just to not see deer that aren't there in the first place. I plan on trying to get some footage over at the local forest preserves (aka deer haven).

    So disappointing...

Food plot! Sounds like you are in major need of a food source, a late season one. Something as big as you can but small enough to fence it to keep animals out untill all other fields have been harvested. This will keep the local ones around and maybe draw some in as well.

First i will say that you have to do your homework as far as bass pro sale ads go, some are not on sale at all..... and second to get on the web and check out any and all reviews of the game came you are looking at before you buy.

some cams just dont work. I have three right now i wont put out because they eat batterys, get 1 pic a week

I found a inexpensive cam that smokes anything i found... wildgame 6xc @ 119.00 takes tons of pics batterys last forever.
