I'm buying my first climber and I found a lone wolf combo II on Craigslist for $200 that was only used to climb 2 trees last year apparently. Guy broke his bike can't hunt anymore or something. I cannot justify spending over $200 on a tree stand but I think that's a good deal seeing that these stands go for $389-400 retail. Should I go check it out and buy it or just go with something cheaper for my first climber? Any suggestion for a good starter climber easy to get up and down with?

IF it is in that good of a shape I'd take it. Something "cheaper" is going to be just that.

$200 for a LW climber would appear to be a good deal, I'd go check it out. At the price, if it's legit, it won't last long.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

If it's your first and all works, it will be smooth and quiet for u. A positive first experience will better than a frustrating one

Unless it has the clear bands (means it's old) and it is in good shape I would buy the Lone Wolf before I buy a cheaper climber. $200 is a good price, so like pastorjim says, i doubt it will last long.
