Nice man, that is some promising sign. Hopefully it's from a big one.

And then this. Not sure if it is a natural mineral site or an abandoned site from years ago.[IMG]
Check out the rubs on both sides of it. Will probably put a camera on it next year.

That site was active this year because there aren't any leaves in it. Hopefully the creator has moved out of there.

I know it is still being used, but think it may have been started years ago and then abandoned since there isn't any sign of human activity in there. Either way there is a ton of sign so I will be hunting in that area this fall, just not right at the site.

Well guys I am beat. I have been non stop today down here at the farm. I checked all 7 trail cams. After that I overseeded some of the bare spots in our two main food plots. I used biologic hotspot for that. I checked shooting lanes & straps for most of our stands and also put up a new tripod stand on the edge of the plot I will be planting tomorrow. And to finish the day I brushed in a new ground blind.

But probably the thing I am most excited about is the page I took out of Mark Drurys playbook. I found a good sappling and cut it down so I could put in my very own treecoy!

My wife says the same thing. If she wants me to do some house work i take forever but hunting chores, i bust it out with a smile on my face, lol. Funny how that works out.

Took my boys to Bass Pro today. My dad wanted to make sure they were outfitted for the season. Now I just need PSE to hurry and fix or replace my crossbow for them.

In between using a backhoe to re slope the drive way out of my pole barn and attached garage to keep water from running in, I also got half of my planned food plot in, I have a nice spot about 100 yards long by 25 wide I still need to till and plant. I tilled with a small 3 point tiller on the back of my tractor and drug a toddler bed frame over it to cover the seed. plan on trimming my shooting lanes tonight to see which tree im going to move my stand to. It's only 6.5 acres but they move all over the place and have 3 trails going in and out.

Set my first stand at the water hole today. Not as many pics there as I had last time. I haven't checked the card to see what's on it yet. My second spot seems better than expected. For some reason I am starting to like the sceond spot better. We scouted another chunk of the 10000 acre tract that I haven't been to. it was a bust. Too much mountain laurel. At least I can eliminate that area. I'll post pics if I have any good bucks. Ended up walking 16 miles total.

I am trying a new broadhead this year. For the past 3 or 4 years I have been a Rage guy. More specifically a Rage Chisel Tip user. But this year I am trying these.
