Opening day of the Orange Parade was yesterday and a co worker of mine shot this stud with his new ruger 450 bushmaster. Im so jealous. I hope to see some thing moving asap. All the corn and beans are down around my house had 6 doe in the plot last night before I got home. This flop between cold for a few days then 60 is crazy.
Seeing photos like that make me wish I could get back out to the woods. That is a nice buck. Shawn Jennings ProGold Easton FMJ 339 grains NAP Spitfire DoubleCross 100 grains 2017 Team 3 Shed Hunting 2017 Team 6 Turkey Hunting 2017 Team 5 Deer Hunting
Our bears are already starting to hibernate. How long does your bear season go? Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well after only one hunt on November 6th due to quite possibly the worst month of my adult life, I will be in the stand tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, the lack of pressure will have the deer moving well. Anything legal is dying if it comes in range.
He Shot this up by you Shawn. right outside of Mt Vernon. I have half a mind to hit the game lands at Dillon and up in Coshocton.
Well, tonight’s sit was my first in almost month. Unfortunately, my treestand was gone. The bow holder and lifeline were still on the tree but the stand was gone. It was stolen. This is private land so someone tresspassed to steal it. I saw four does walk the trail that I would have been sitting in my treestand. Instead, I was in my ground blind about 75 yards away. Unbelievable...why can't people keep there hands off other people's things. I don't care if it is private or public, if it isn't yours leave it alone. If it on public and it isn't legal to leave stands or cameras on the public, then report it to the DNR. I don't even agree with some of these "celebrity" public land hunters saying it is ok if someone comes by and checks there SD card as long as they don't take the camera. If you legally have your cameras on public nobody should be touching them...period. Sorry for the rant! Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Do any of you guys have any experience with Hawk stands. I am looking at getting this combo to replace my Summit climber that was stolen. http://www.cabelas.com/product/hunt...-hang-on-treestand-combo/2528624.uts?slotId=6
no. im strictly a lone wolf guy but I do have some xop's. I think the lone wolfs are a bit more solid after hung. but both are dead silent. I won't use a hollow tube stand ever. any sound just echos through the tubing.
I haven't either. Also a Lone Wolf guy. I started out with three Lone Wolf sticks and a cheap lock on stand. Got the fourth stick one year for Christmas from my in-laws. Eventually picked up a Lone Wolf Assault on sale at Scheels. If you watch Craigslist you may be able to pick up a stand for a decent price. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I don't have any experience either, I get what I can afford lol, brand does not matter for me. Looks like a good package. Similar to my ameristand, love it but the platform is small for my liking. once you get a few cheap stands start saving for a lone wolf or xop. you can manually level the base and seat. so the angled trees are no longer an issue. and quietness is unreal.
Yeah you just sold me on a lone wolf Shawn Jennings ProGold Easton FMJ 339 grains NAP Spitfire DoubleCross 100 grains 2017 Team 3 Shed Hunting 2017 Team 6 Turkey Hunting 2017 Team 5 Deer Hunting
I haven't found a tree that I can't put my Lone Assault in. I have put it in trees as small as my thigh and the bat wing allows me to put it in crooked trees. Now instead of hunting for the right tree, I hunt for the right spot. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I ended up purchasing the Hawk combo that I posted a link to. It is my first experience with hang-on set up. I have only used a climber in the past. It seems like Hang-on set ups allow for more options as far as picking trees which is an advantage I was looking for. I love the portability of climbers but it limits tree selection to straight trees with high branches. I am hoping this new set up will let me get into better trees with more cover.
