here is my story I posted on the live from the stand thread page 72-73 I think. i'll post my pics and score sheet tomorrow.

finally home at 1:20am. that was my number 1 buck I've been posting pics of. it couldn't have been more text book. it was hot so i knew the deer would be thirsty so i hunted over the water hole i found. first i had a button buck feed around me most of the night until a spike moved in. then the button went over to a licking branch and started working it. well the spike started blowing but it wasn't like an alarm blow. it was like the kind of blow like "who's there I can't see you" kind of blow. so that ticked off the button buck and he came over and ran the spike off. remind you this all was at last light. so after the spike left I heard heavy footsteps coming from the direction of the big bucks bed. so the big buck came right into the water hole and was chugging water facing directly towards me offering no shot. it was so dark all I could make out was the size of his main beams. from trail cam photos I realized this buck had the same beam shape as the big buck. and his body was freaking enormous. 200+. so I waited for him to get done drinking and as soon as he turned I let the arrow fly. he ran 65 yds and crashed. I didn't see him fall but I heard him die. I backed out just incase to go get help. after tracking him a short distance i got to see 20 yrs of hunting this property fulfill my dream of shooting one of these legends. this is on public land about 2.5 miles in. i would like to thank all the guys on this forum for any advice i might have picked up along the way. i will post score tomorrow.

thinking about hunting ohio some now that I have time to play. any leads would be appreciated.

So has anyone tried using an ozone generator to control scent? After getting busted last Saturday morning, I noticed a odd smell in my Jeep so I purchased a cheap car plug in one to try. I didn't buy the Scent Crusher car model or another hunting specific brand product because the reviews seemed mixed. I didn't want to spend that much money on something that didn't seem to work well based on reviews. I bought the one in the link. It was only $18.99 versus the Scent Crusher being $49.99. Didn't feel like blowing the extra money on something that may not work.

Well I woke up from my nap a little late but still decided to go out. Wasn't able to get to the spot I wanted but sitting off trail where they have bedded before. Decided to try this spot because it was raining pretty hard when I got here. Hopefully I was able to set up without them hearing me if they are there. Its starting to lighten up. Havnt hunted this public land spot for a couple years we will see what happens. WP_20171005_15_36_27_Pro.jpg

Alot of my buddies use the scent crusher products and love them. I have thought about making my own. You can by the same generator and tote on Amazon for under $85. Compared to the $250 price tag of scent crusher tote

Any of them use the plug in model for a vehicle? That was what I was wondering about. I fgured I would start small before dropping a lot of meny on something. The scent crusher car reviews weren’t that great.

Proud of my daughter on her very first hunt. She was a trooper in the rain even though we didn't see anything.[IMG][IMG]

Did check my camera and the big 10 is still coming through. Looks like he is blind in his right eye.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
