Didn't get out this morning... didn't have all my stuff ready to go. Which worked out ok since it started raining down where I was going to hunt around 7:30.

Took my bow to the bow shop and realizes my nocking point was a little low causing my fletching to hit my rest, got it readjusted and tuned. Now I'll resight in tomorrow and be ready to rock and roll September 30th, also got some Lumenock Orange nocks orser that will be in the 19th. Wondering if I sight my bow in now if the lumenocks will throw off my arrows with a little more grains added and I'll have to resight in? What is your guy's experience?

I have never really had to much of an issue with it. Just try it out and see.

Lighted nocks have not made a difference for me due to weight.

I have been in New York all week for work so I really needed to unwind for a bit once I got home. So this morning I went and shot some 3D at our local club. It was a mix of OPA and ASA scoring. Shot pretty well even though my stupid glasses kept fogging up because of the humidity.

Well, my third son is going to come a little early. We are heading in to have my wife induced in the morning. Season opens next Saturday. If I don't make it, I hope you guys will accept the doctor's note.

If my wife is feeling okay, I still plan on taking at least one of our older boys out next weekend. Original due date was October 8th.

It's not really a big deal if you miss opening day. As long as you hunt at some point during the season it's all good.
But it would have been nice if your wife and her doctor would have checked with us first!

    Good luck

Great news my scouting is done and I know where my number 1 buck lives eats and drinks. Here is a pic. 20170917_085103.jpg

Couldn't believe how huge he was next to that 1.5yr old 7pt. I am pumped.

Public. I have several other bucks that will be tempting me but this one has become personal. Like I've said before in my area public has bigger bucks than private.

Got out for an afternoon hunt yesterday. There was another truck in the parking lots and I found fresh tracks heading to where I was planning on hunting, so ended up with plan B. Didn't see any deer, but it was nice being out.[IMG]

The good news is that my buddy put a camera out on the public land where we had found those fresh rubs that I posted. He checked his camera Saturday and this is some of the bucks that were on there.j[IMG][IMG][IMG]
