In my opinion i would move to a different location. I have dealt with the same thing when i was younger and would hunt out of my papaws Permanent wooden stand and it didn't matter where the deer were comen out at they made a point to always look at the stand. No matter what.

It really depends, since the rut status is moving to "Chasing" other bucks will most likely hit that area soon. if it were weeks ago then I'de say Move. either way I wouldn't hit that area for a week or so.

I would leave. The deer are becoming more and more educated by busting you. They will eventually change their moving patterns just to avoid this. I would move so you can maybe use this location in the future seasons.

Get out of there for a few days. Then play close attention to the wind. Live and learn.:deer:

I've had that problem in bottoms before too cuz they are so open...I personally don't think you have to leave the area entirely but definitely move trees..try to find a tree that has some limbs or foliage on it...take a saw with you and make your way up...or if you find a tree with good bottom cover get up above it and use it to your advantage. If the tree you were in is totally bare they will bust you every time...and don't forget the wind...that was a big key point too. Good luck!!

Move another stand in there. I had a stand that the deer would come in and look right up to me and leave. I left the stand there and moved to another tree to the left about 15 yards from the old one. Deer would come look in to the old stand see nothing and they would hang out. Good luck. And when ye rut come anything can happen

That is a good idea. The tree im in is in the middle of nothing, and pretty bare of foliage I'll look for a different tree.

like others said above if youve seen bucks there other bucks will most likely be moving there during rut any ways so i say hunt the same location just different tree. eventually one will make a mistake. persistance pays off!!
