Stationed in Southern California

    I've been stationed in Southern California for a few years now (Marine Corps) and have yet to find a good hunting area or some guys to go hunting with, are there any fellas here from so cal by any chance that would be able to point me in the right direction?

    go hunt the base property at Vandenburg AFB. Lots of hogs.

    This is why I like being stationed on the east coast. spent 5 yrs hunting Lejeune and loved it there. tons of deer and turkey. Good luck finding a spot out there! VA is proving to be lots of fun too

    Yeah lejeune is awesome, I'm at 29, so definitely nothing remotely here, gonna try big bear this season but in October I'll be back in colorado for good so that will be perfect, just trying to get a California big horn while I have the chance first

    Camp Pendleton has good deer hunting and small game. Coyotes are abundant there as well. Cleveland National Forest is very close and the hunting is good if your willing to put in the work. I have been hunting this area the last 10 years or so.

    Vandenberg is way too dry and the hog hunting hasn't been good there in the last year.

    I hear the same about Pendleton, and want to try it! I'll have to look more into it, it's active duty and dependents only?
