Over the past few years hunting has become a passion for me. Its what I look forward to and I try to hunt everything I can if its with gun or bow. But I have realized that people have really been taking away whats most important in hunting. That is going out and just enjoying the outdoors, watching the animals in there habitat. Don't get me wrong killing a deer or seeing a big mature buck is one of the biggest addrenaline rushes but if I got home without a deer I won't be disappointed. People worry way to much about camo, equipment, stand location, wind direction, and everything else that they forget to enjoy going outside away from work or other problems. Every hunter should be truly blessed that they get the opportunity to hunt. Some people never get to experience it. To sum it up people should just HUNT!! Its that simple. I don't know what you guys feel about this but I thought it needed to be said. Stay classy and good luck to everyone this year.
I feel the same way but only because I understand what you're trying to say. The line about paying too much attention to a stand location is a little off though. If you bow hunt 5 yards can make the difference therefor stand location MUST be optimal. True I will still be happy at the end of the day if the deer walk 5 yards out of range and I go home empty handed but i'd be happier with a deer in the back of my truck Sorry I had to run with that, I do get the point your trying to make and thats that people want to throw in the towel for being unsuccesful just a bunch of whiner tits. I say screw em more deer fer me
I agree with that, I love going and taking , and teaching my boy , and we still get a few for a bonus but hes learning its all about just being there
You have a good point, but for me, a lot of people I know outside of these boards are the "just want to be in the woods" types. Hunting for them is something to do when there's nothing else to do and they just like to get out in the woods. I only see the over obsessing about worthless topics on message boards and in archery shops.
