I have 3 caves on one farm here, every year there are deer tracks going in one of them i feel it's when the summer heat gets here.so far lots of raccoon and a ground hog and the deer will stick there head in it. It's a great spring
fed water source and i have a dam about 10 foot down to keep the water at that spot.

I am going caving after the seasons end this year.

It's a brand new mineral site and the deer are just starting to locate it.

Great pics you got going there!

How are you liking the results of putting the camera up off the ground a little higher? It looks like the deer dont mind at all.

I am having mixed results to tell the truth, the sun heats the leaves and i get a lot of blank pics because of it. The cam that is set up directly above the mineral site is working the best as far as color of pics and zero deer picking off the cam. The other cams are 8-13 feet up and my main reason is so that they dont get stolen and second that the red stoplight flash does not tip the deer off to my bad intentions..

The little acorn cams are the blue/black flash i could put the closer to the deer and near the ground but i am getting used to carrying my ladder or set of climbing sticks so i will live with the blank pics,I am using 4gb and 8gb cards with lithium battery's so the cams will hold up. I do have double sets on a couple high traffic areas on 3 mineral sites hoping to catch the thief that got one of my cams last fall. I talked to my neighbors on both side of me
They themselves dont hunt but they have some family that does I let them know when it happened and told them i was looking for thieves so hopefully they will relay the message to anyone that hunts on them to stay on there own ground.
