Outstanding! sounds like a great deal for you both!!! Will it be beans every year? What does he rotate with assuming he does?

i think you should rethink this.
a 1 acre soybean field is not a great idea usually.

you would be better off keeping that 1 acre and planting it into something YOU WANT.

He rotates 2 years of soybeans and 1 year of corn as far as planting what I want I do plant other food plots (clover and brassicas) but if I can get an acre of corn or beans planted with his equipment and save myself all that time and effort I'm going to.

Your looking at $565 here for illinois. We are picking right now and they're averaging 65 bushel to the acre. 50 yards by 100 yards is an acre. 65 bushel times today's price of $8.70 per bushel. Totally depends on your farmers field. If they're only yielding 30 bushel then obviously your price would be cheaper. Hope this helps

Yours are doin better than what we've cut so far. One field was around 37 and other right under 50. Were pretty dry though. Still got little left to do so won't know what everything made until then.

Remmett, you're wrong. Tacklebox, you're being a ****. It's understood that Remmett isn't associating the farmers costs, but why instigate? You don't have a dog in this fight. OP said he had it figured out and you claim that you have nothing better to do on a Thursday afternoon.

Wish our land yielded that good. So far our average is 25. Hopefully it gets better...

Why not justask him if he'd mind and see what he says. Hes saving a little time and money. Maybe next season buy the seed and stuff and plant your area and just have him help u manage it. Killing the local deer will also help him. Farmers are pretty nice when it comes to stuff like that. They lose money on beans the deer have eaten and layed down in.still pay him for what you want to keep up and I'm sure he'll cut u a deal on it.
