Any current favorites? Classics? Is it a fading "art"? I've always liked Louis C.K. and finally got a chance to watch his HBO special titled "Oh My God" yesterday. The guy cracks me up. A few in no particular order: Bill Hicks George Carlin Daniel Tosh(not a huge fan of his show but his stand up is funny) Lewis Black Mitch Hedberg So many more to list and some obvious classics missing, any thoughts or not so well known suggestions?
Carlin was great. Bill Cosby was funny many years ago, not so much now IMO. As far as current, Jim Gaffigan makes me laugh, mostly at how stupid he is.
Nobody will every be as good as Bill Cosby was in his hayday. Bill Cosby Himself is a classic.
Jim Gaffigan John Pinette John Heffron Dave Chappelle Bill Cosby <--- Forgot how funny he was Richard Pryor
Some of my favorites in no particular order: Mike Speenburg Kieth Alberstat Daniel Tosh Drew Hastings Andy Woodhaul The mainstream guys are funny, but we've all heard there stuff 8.4 million times (yes, I know Tosh is mainstream, but he isn't right).
