Lock on all the way. I use a climber a little, but I don't really like it. They're just nice to try a place out before you hang a lock on. I've only hunted from a ladder stand once and though they are comfortable, they just aren't very high. I've never really had the need for a blind for deer, but I love them for turkey.

Climber for me. I like the portability of it, and feel like I'm far more adaptable when I can go in and set up and be ready to hunt that much more quickly. Plus I have the ability to "scout" with my bow in my hands, and put a stand in a spot if I really have a good feeling about it. :D

Lock on for me. Mine are all home made hang ons/lock ons by me to be exact. I don't think there's more then a handful of tree's In my woods where are climber would work In.

I feel so safe in my climber, that is why it is my go to stand. I do use lock ons and ladders when there is not a climbing tree in the area I need to be, but if there is a good climbing tree, I am in my climber.

All of the above but prefer lock on. I havent used my climber much yet and I really enjoy hunting out of ground blinds. Ladder stands I usually use when I venture out with the rifle or muzzeloader.

Unlkike Steve, our property is loaded with oaks and poplar that are perfect for climbers.

lock on most of the time although the Gorrila ladder was excellent this year. I do plan on trying a tree saddle this year though, money pending!

IF the land is secure enough, I'll throw lock ons up before I'll use my climber but I have qualms about using my climber as well.

I prefer the climber, but use a ladder stand and a blind when applicable.

I voted ladder because we have 4 set up in our timber, but we also have 4 other stands that are all lock-ons

Both lock-ons and climber. Before this past season, I hunted primarily out of climbers, but made the transition this season to lock-ons. I hunt private ground, so I have no worries about security. I like that I have the ability to sneak in climb up, and exit quickly/quietly with lock-ons. I hunted a few sets this year I never could have with a climber. I still used the climber when the wind wasn't cooperating, or I wanted to try a new spot. I think it's good to not limit yourself to just one style.

A have hang ons, a climber, ladder stands, and a blind. The hang ons get the most use simply because I can put them in the thickest trees possible which allows me to have a great backdrop.

I just make sure that I've got my Montecs aligned w/ the fletching and then just sneak up on them..no need for a stand.

It really depends on where you hunt. I have all of the above and hunt public property. When I can, I use the climber. Fixed position if the climber won't work due to limbs. Ladder if a really crazy tree and I'm confident of the spot and don't plan to have a need to haul it much. Climber is a Summit. Fixed position is a Nontypical Patriot and Rapid rails. If anyone has a Loc On Titan ladder for sale, PM me. Thanks

Ladderstands and blinds equally. Used to use climbers but,I'm in my 40's now and
I'm not as nimble as I once was.

Each have their specific strengths and when used for them, nothing works better..If the hunting situatuion permits it..ladder stand all the way for me, nothing beats the quietness, safety and simplicity of climbing up or down a ladder in the dark..
