I've wanted a Hawk Helium climbing stick for a couple of years now. But every time I go to pull the trigger on one, they're sold out everywhere. I think you made a solid choice with your stuff.

Point taken, but I'm not exactly wide. It's more about the sling seat forming to my hips and pushing in. I fit between the arms fine, lol. I might play around with it a bit.

Why is so much gear getting stolen this year? Where are all these ****s coming from and how do we get rid of them?

It isn't just this year, it's been happening for a long time. There's just more "stuff" out in the woods to steal these days. There will always be thieves, but a cable lock (cams & stands) makes it more difficult for them. It's strange, the only thing I ever had stolen was a LW sit and climb, and that was on private property that only I had permission to hunt. It was cable locked! Conversely, I've been putting out 3 cams, unlocked, every year for the last 14 years on Public land and have yet to have one stolen.

Where I hunt it has never been this bad. This year 2 cams gone and I know of 3 different stands being taken from others. All on public that I have hunted for years.

New stand was just delivered by UPS. Stand, 4 sticks, lifeline, foot rest for $199.99. Individually, total cost is about $280. Looking for to assembling and trying out this weekend.
