So the deer are feeding in a field 100 yards north of my stands my buddy and I are hunting from. I have seen deer under my stand every sit so far for a week just all small bucks and does. The deer feed in the field till 6 am and on the dot make their way back into the woods to their bedding areas by our stands and down the hill. I have also seen a lot of deer to my right where the woods meet the field. And also heard tons of movement from that direction. 2 days ago I had 2 small bucks come from over there after I grunted and rattled. And a bigger buck hitting a tree behind me, never saw him though. After they got bored with me they went back from where they came from to the right. I have seen and heard these deer over there since opening day 2 weeks ago. So my buddy and I put a new stand over there and gave it a day to rest and it poured out on Thursday. Went in today and saw 3 does about 75 yards from me go to my right from the new stand. That's was it. Did we spook them out? They didn't even go in the field last night I checked my cam. I have 3 cams on their major runs and there was a deer, couldn't tell buck or doe, last night that's it. Should we let the area rest for a while? I could see a mature buck getting spooked out of their for a while from a new stand but a group of a lot of young deer. Just seems weird and don't know what my next move should be. I have even been made in my other stand a few times by the deer and they have come back the next day and did the same thing. Also these deer are used to a lot of human traffic as tons of people use the area for jogging and walking their dogs it's part of the trustees of the reservations. Any opinions greatly appreciated??????

I don't think you spooked anything. The weather pattern likely had an effect on their movement patterns. I tell you what, if I had does under my stand every single hunt in the morning at this time of the year, I wouldnt move anything!

Yup VS I agree my uncle said the same thing. It was rainy and windy. I'm going to check my cams again tomorrow am coming out of the woods. I bet the deer have been visiting the field again. I sat in the same stand tonight and had 2 bucks small ones and 5 does all around me. The rut has definitely started here scrapes are starting to show up and the smaller bucks were chasing the does tonite only a matter of time.
