This soured me on him too. I guarantee he would not take that shot on a doe, but since it was a giant buck he lost all composure and just launched an arrow. He got really lucky. His ridiculous over-reactions just turn me off. If shooting a deer means that much to you, you really have issues. It's one thing to get excited, we all do. But, to totally lose control is kind of silly. I mean come on, give me a minute......

I think it's rather unfair to characterize a person based on their reaction when they shoot a deer. Hunting is a very personal thing and everyone reacts differently. Sure, Stan may ham it up a bit for the camera now that people say they enjoy it, but he's been that way for a long time now. That doesn't mean there's something wrong with the guy. Nor does it mean you have to watch his videos.

I've seen people laugh, cry, break down into convulsions and nearly puke, or show no reaction at all. Doesn't mean any of them enjoyed it any more or less than the next guy, or is any more or less of a person or hunter.

Stan seems like a good guy. When he takes a nice deer it's like he turns into a boy that just saw boobies. :tu:

I'm going to kill a deer this year. Just you see. It will happen.

And on my screen, it says Stan Potts, but it still has the other guy on the picture.

At least I bought a license a week after the season started. Geez. I might even go hunting in a couple weeks.

Sacrificing your time for the sake of your kids. What a ****.

This is the first fall when "me time" is way down, and thats alright. Both kids in school and sports takes up a lot of time. I just can't bring myself to miss any of it for the sake of hunting.

Don't...you would regret it. Took me a little while to figure that one out. Some guys never do. You and Germ are doing the right thing for sure. Enjoy it!!

I've met him multiple times, and am friends with his neighbor and 3 of his buddies growing up.

Honestly, never heard a good thing about him. First time I met him, he absolutely shredded Pat Reeve, which was pretty immature.

The Lost Camo thing is a neat, for sure. Kudos to him for that.

One thing that has always bugged me about him, is how he sits there and tells me a 2yr old deer, is a 5yr old deer.

The new Potts photo is up... He looks much more of a bad *** than the last two... :tu: Miranda wasn't even wearing Lost camo... Mathews / Lost got ripped on that.

Least it isn't Todd Graf with a dirty face staring us down!

Oh for Pete's sake. You can't put that on us. If you had the hunting rights to the land that Potts hunts... you too could shoot big bucks. Stan Potts could come up where I live and hunt for 30 years and not kill a 160 inch buck. You kill big bucks where they live. I've watched all the TV stars sitting on a "FOOD PLOT" with 20 bucks in the field. Stan couldn't see 20 different bucks in my woods in 5 years. He's a phony dude to me. Act like you've done it before. All this fist bumping and chest bumping and all this stuff these TV "Stars" of today do is not what we do, hunters do, or what Fred Bear, or Young or anyone did. You never heard of Ishi yelling "That's what I'm talking about". I'd rather see a normal reasonable reaction to killing an animal. No, I didn't harvest him.... I killed him. I'm happy as hell when it happens..... but I don't see a need to follow the leaders and run off a dozen "Catchy sayings"... like BBD BABY. Give me a break of reality for once. If he's not phony... he's a psycho.

No I don't mean that one - I was thinking about the double beam buck-in 2001. We started that fall! I had to dig it up, and I found it.
