Ever thought about taking a laxative? May help. You seem to be full of ...

And I'll be a little pedantic and say, you might want to look up the definition of still hunting. Don't think it means what you think it does. I actually still hunt quite a lot in very thick country. I can prove it with a go pro! And that means I am stalking game, without the benefit of being able to see it from 1500 yards, or even having a clue where it is, typically until it's in range.

Why not just post the go pro video? Why does a bet have to be involved?

every hunt is on GO PRO i never not one time said i didn't have footage thats another thing that is laughable now we can get a middle man to hold the wages and we will make our bet then allow you to see the video.

attacking a persons integrity is the main problem here not the fact we disagree with hunting styles.
and what it should show moderators is this....the forum is full of jackasses that will attack someone who is new and share different opinion's of themselves.
if it hurts your booty that someone feels different on how a proper hunt is outside of that cushion filled comfort zone then you are the one who needs to take a step back and consider how you react to someone else.
so dont come at me sideways with smooth remarks trying to belittle or discredit a FACT because inside that pea brain you cant understand it.
and also to the last guy there @okcaveman still hunting is not by any form stalking basically what you said you have JUMPED up deer and using spot and stalk definition to credit that by saying visually seeing a deer at 1500 yards is not the same as being in thick country and seeing them and closing the distance and i will chime in right here that the terrain that is common around here is much harder than lets say we was hunting the woods of MS,ALA,LA,TN,ARK or any southern and eastern state where your success rate is much greater because the natural cover provided.
every single time after i hunt regardless of if it was a success or missed chance i hit the drawing board and re-think strat and by missed chance im not saying missed shot.
just yesterday i took a friend out who has never killed a deer with a bow but has the drive to do so i got him within 30-40 yards of a massive 12 point but due to our position and the location he chose to bed down even glassing the terrain could not see him and only did so after walking right past him.
all that knowledge we gain only helps and prepares us for what could be not how it is because every time you step out the dynamics will be different than the day before.
but what i do know it's pre-rut and its swinging very hard here that same deer will be bedding down within 150 yards of that same location and will be harvested our next outting.

Ya'all giving this dude wayyy too much attention at this point. LOL

The first indication that this wasn't going to go well is when he declared his own hunt as "the stalk of the century" a 100 years is a long time - I'm sure many of hunters have had some note worth stalks over the years. In fact - here was one that was posted on the internet within the last month. I'd imagine many stories just like the one you shared with us have actually happened over the last 100 years.

Oh man I forgot to tell my story man my bad! So two days ago me and my navy seal buddy were playing leap frog across this valley when suddenly I look up and what do I see? A monster buck obviously, had to be a 22 pointer at least! Well I ranged him by way of calibrated eyeball and to my surprise he was only 1324.3 feet exactly away so my seal friend grabbed my hand and we took off after him, slow like so as not to scare him. Well turns out to get to him we had to free dive through a system of underwater tunnels, get to the other side and of course it's a sheer cliff, duh, so as we didn't have any safety equipment we decided to hike the half mile around. Get to the top and there I can see the buck but wait! He's still 273 yards away...bummer. So I close the distance down to only 17 yards by barrel rolling the rest of the way. My seal friend couldn't make all the way to the top so now I'm alone. I bend over and pick up a rock and BOOM 1 shot with my trusty wooden slingshot and he goes down, only ran 13 yards too. Yea it was a far shot but I arced it and guys it was a biiiig rock I sent flyin for him. I don't feel bad telling you this because this is what a real hunter does. If you don't go through exactly what I laid out you aren't a real hunter. Should probly just sell all your gear and get a lifetime zoo membership instead. Oh and here's a pic of the skull. Turns out when he dropped he fell off a different sheer cliff face and broke half his antlers but I'm telling you he was an absolute monster too![IMG]

Well it's pretty safe to say this ship is sinking quickly. Time to jump off and save yourself while you can, folks.

It may not have been the stalk of the century, but it was certainly a good way to start the new week!
