have any of you ever had a staff/boil infection?
I recently noticed I had one on my leg. then a week later I got one on my other leg. The doctor put me on an anti biotic and said it will clear up pretty quickly. But I am just worried that it is something That can be passed around.

Staph infections are contagious until the infection has resolved. Direct contact with an infected sore or wound, or with personal-care items such as razors, bandages, etc., are common routes of transmission. Casual contact such as kissing or hugging does not pose a great risk for transmission if there is no direct contact with the infected area.

I had a staph infection that turned into the size of your fist in a little over 24 hours. Started as what appeared to be an ingrown hair on my waste line.

Still have no clue how I got it...but the labs confirmed it was staph. When they lanced it open, It looked like someone trying to empty the contents of an XL toothpaste tube in 10 seconds or less as she squeezed it out. Doc said if I had waited til the following morning to come in they likely would have hospitalized me.

Don't be stubborn about treatment, if it is very large at all have it emptied and take your antibiotics for the ENTIRE duration prescribed for, not until it looks to be gone.

Spot on. This is why we have drug resistant bacteria, such as MRSA, VRE, etc.
