You've never watched a deer being shot at in slow motion, it doesn't react to seeing the shot. It reacts to hearing the shot
I have medium sized stab on my hunting bow. It didn't seem to make much difference in noise or vibration but it balances the bow nicely and... the real reason I keep it on there is so when I lower my bow, it helps tips the bow off to the side instead of onto the sights or arrows. :D
okay. this was a serious question. im a new hunter. didnt know they could hear the string being released and react before the arrow stuck them.
I have a short one on my bow that cost me nothing, it pretty much holds my wrist sling in place. It did not change accuracy, balance or vibration that I could detect. Did not notice any change in noise either. (says the man with bilateral hearing aids) Not listed as a Newb anymore, so better add that I'm new to archery so that no one blunders into thinking my observations mean squat.
