I switched from a 5" Octane to an 8" (can't remember the brand, it came off an old bow I was "gifted"). I don't have any bow kills yet, but I have noticed that with my accuracy has improved with the 8" on there.

Lot of good stabs out there... This year on my primary bow I've got a 10" B-Stinger Sport Hunter Xtreme - like it a lot so far.

I am looking at buying an Axion GLZ Gridlock Lite 5" along with a Cobra Double Joint Knuckle from Archery, Crossbows, Hunting, and Kayaking Equipment Look him up on youtube and check out his bow setup videos he shows you how the knuckle works with the stabilizers. Great looking product.

I picked one of those up last year and it did pretty well. Stabilizers are more of a comfort thing anymore. They all absorb some kind of energy because they all have mass. If you're like me you'll go through many different ones until you find one that you like.

My two favorites right now are the trophy ridge 10 in for tree stand hunting and the limbsaver s-coil for blind hunting.
