Hey guys, (and gals?), I am looking for a new stabilizer for my Hoyt Rampage XT. I have a 4" Tru Glow deadenator XS on it right now. It kills vibration real well, but I think I'd like something a little longer that will help actually stabilize the bow as well. Here are the ones I'm looking at. Any input into any of them will be appreciated. I will be hunting with the bow, not shooting competition.

    B-Stinger Sport Hunter Xtreme 6"

    B-Stinger Sport Hunter Xtreme 8"

Octane Hunter 7" Black Ops Stabilizer

    TruGlo Tru Tec Carbon 8"

Now I do realize that the best way to find out which one is best would be to try each one. I can not find all of these at any one or even two shops near me. It will be an online order. I'm mostly concerned with negatives of any of these brands. If you've used it and it sucks, I'd like to know what you didn't like about it. If you used it and loved it, I'd like to know what you loved about it.

    Thank you,
    Shawn

I have the 7" octane in camo. It was a noticable improvement over the 4" Limbsaver that was on it before. I also have a quick disconnect on it which adds another1.5" so I'm 8.5" now.

Out of them choices I would go with the 8" b-stinger that way if you need more weight to help stabilize the bow u can add more to it if I'm not mistaken.

I'm leaning towards the B Stinger, but wasn't sure which length to go with for hunting. The ad for it says, " 3 individual adjustable weights". It being the most expensive on the list, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't junk. The Octane seems to be pretty good too, and for $25 less. I don't mind paying more, but would hope that the stabilizer would be worth the extra $.

I read some good things about the B-Stinger, and have read some things on this and other forums, that lead me to believe that it may be the best bang for my buck. I think I'm convinced and will go ahead and order one. If worse comes to worse I can always list it back on eBay.

B-stingers are nice. I myself love the octane 7" stabilizer, been using it for years now, kills vibration like now other, i think it looks great and it stabilizes well, but you cant go wrong with either one, that for sure. Hope youll be happy with your choice.

That's where I ordered from. I've got stuff from them in the past and like their service. Prices aren't too bad either.

I may try one of these on my Mission, and then use the one I like best for my main hunting bow, the Hoyt.

You won't be disappointed with B-Stinger. I currently use them on my competition bow and switching from Stokerized to B-Stinger for my hunting set up.
