I dont even know why I use one, I took it off the Monster and couldnt really tell the difference. So I have decided to get me a new one. Everything else is new so why not right. Give me some idears huh. I dont think these shops are going to let me open all the packages and try em. Which one and why....

I have the octane stabilizer. I shot my bow for almost two weeks without it and thought it was nice and quiet and smooth. After putting it on my bow, I realized how much of a difference that it makes. It just makes everything a little nicer to shoot with. I don't have anything to compare it to, but i like it.

Make it down to the twin cities at all?
If you do, Bwana Archery has a BUNCH of them out of the package, and ready to try out.

Other than that, I think stabs have moved from the stab area, to more along the lines of vib. Dampening...

I personally use a Posten Woodsman 2. I like the fact that I can add and subtract the weights at the end...

FWIW, I think that w/ a parallel limb bow a stabilizer does far less than is does for an older style "curved" limb bow. I really can't tell enough difference between on vs. the other on a parallel limb bow, but on a curved limb bow, there is an obvious difference!!!!

If I were to use a stabilizer I would get one with the best noise dampening qualities as I don't think a stabilizer does any real stabilizing in most hunting situations.

Put different ones on your bow, if possible, and see which one lessens noise the most.

Boy I have a few suggestions. I would, like someone else suggested, an octane or a stokerized. Kyle has some great stuff out. Just my opinion. oh and another would be a stealth or even AEP.

IMO Stabilizers are varied in what they do. Shock & vibration absorbing the Octane does a nice job, as does several of the Doinkers

For pure Stabilization it is hard to beat a B-Stinger. It just works!

Thanks guys, I went and tried a few. I came home with a Fuse 8" Carbon something....lol I like the Axiom but all he had was the 2". Plus I think the 6" would be way heavy.

B-Stinger was suggested to me by Spot Hogg (I bet they are brothers or something). I read the theory and was sold. There are a lot of misnamed “stabilizers” on the market that do not function as anti-rotational devices.

I bought my B-Stinger and painted it flat black (before they offered a choice). I have been very happy with the way it functions and had considered buying a heavier weight until I added the long bar to the sight. Then I added counterbalance weight to the lower left side of my riser.
I don’t think I’ll be going with more weight now (I think I may have to get some wheels for this thing).

I also added the Feather River quick disconnect (again suggested by Spot Hogg). It is also an excellent product…rigid, easy to use and has NEVER gotten loose like everything else on my bow at one time or another.

I used it for almost a year before taking it off one day for a trial. Boy, I did not realize how well it woked to STABILIZE my aim/shot sequence. Needless to say, it was re-installed that same afternoon.

I use the Fuse Axium 6".
I would say your best bet is to try a few if you can because the difference is somewhat noticeable, at least it was for me.

I use a Doinker BCH11. It feels good to me. It comes with different screw on weights to fit your feel.
