Squiriels get a bad rap IMO. Personally I typically enjoy watchin them run around while in the stand. Pretty good way to pass the time I figure. Although last weekend as they were dropping every friggin walnut around, it sure made the deer spooky

My hunting buddy claims the squirrel "bark" right before deer appear near his stand. I have never heard of this and suggested they were probably fighting. Nonetheless, he maintains that every sighting is preceded by squirrel barking.

They don't bother me much. If they bark it just them telling me I'm moving to much:)

Used to hate them eating corn at they hog feeders but they keep the hogs checking the feeders 24/7 so I'm good.

Shot one form 23 yards but lost an arrowed in bedded in a cypress knee:( I leave them alone now. All the noise they make let me get away with making a little noise.

My uncle always told me that a sudden change in birds or a squirrels behavior was a good sign of deer approaching.
