Im getting ready to spray another place I have in a week or so, in this spot the deer will be eating what I spray...(Grass) is this going to hurt them in anyway....I've been thinking about that.

It's stuff I got at Southern States, there version of Round Up.

    Thanks

I don't think so but I've never looked into it. The farmers spray the crop and the deer eat that and are fine. It is an interesting question though.

The place Im getting ready to plant, I've seen several deer in there just casually grazing...So I want to be sure, another thing...Maybe after you spray it, the smell keeps them away and they know not to eat it...Heck, I don't know...Just been thinking about this

It really depends on what you plan on spraying it with insecticide, herbicide etc. also depends on the active ingredient.

They'll be fine. They don't generally browse on grass much anyway.

Also remember they can smell it and will browse else where. If not the herds would be a lot thinner.

Get 41% Glyphosate at home depo or feed/ tractor store and spray that at recomended amount. Glyphosate is 100% safe and is not harmful to animals or humans. It turns to ineffective the second it hits the ground and only kills the vegetation it physically touches on initial spray. Use that and you will be just fine

You may have found your answer but we do quite a bit of spraying and never have noticed harmful effect on deer. Think of it this way, Beans and Corn are way more attractive to deer and farmers spray those atleast once a summer with roundup. To me if it was bad for deer that would wipe out all the deer!

Go forth and kill! grass that is:rock:

Pretty sure if you're spraying pasture, it's 8 weeks grazing period.

Just saying that's the roundup powermax label says about spraying and grazing. It'll kill everything though. Is that your goal or do you want some grass left?
