Anyone ever add a boom or anything to a regular 15 gallon Atv spot sprayer? Seems doable....any suggestions?

Thought about doing the same to my 25 gal pull behind. This year I did put no flats on it bc I was popping the tube tires left and right on it. Looks a little ghetto now but works much better with higher ground clearance.

I just read about "black rain" I think they've even posted on here. Looks like a simpler fix than building a boom. Maybe they will chime in too...

There are several kits on the market that you can add onto any sprayer as long as your pump has enough volume to operate it. They work fairly well for what they are, rates can be pretty tricky to nail down accurately with ATV ground speed. Most farm and ranch supply stores carry the boomless kits and boom kits. I prefer the boom kits just because of the better swath width but booms with nozzles will deliver a more dependable spray pattern and droplet size.

I have a kingquad with a 25gal spot w/boomless on it that sprays a 30' or so swath and I like it okay. We also have a couple of Shaben skid style tanks w/boomless for the UTV's and they also work very well.

Here's a pic of the new sprayer I bought this year, lol.

It's a Shaben ag sprayer with 60' booms and a 1250 gallon tank.

Nice. I've never heard of that brand before; a southern thing perhaps?

We bought a new 90' Fast sprayer this year. Those things are awesome. Only sprayer we can find reliable for us.

Well I spelled it wrong, it's Schaben if that makes any diff.

I've been really happy with it. It uses a Raven 440 controller. I wanted 80 or 90' booms but was afraid with the size of some of my fields that I'd regret the extra width to try to deal with. The 60' width does everything I need one to do so far.

    Ha no still no difference!

We were at 60' before this sprayer. We upgraded planters so 90' made more sense for our operation. Getting done a little sooner is nice too!

Made one out of hose and sprayer heads from Fleet Farm...15 gal to 2 heads that cover about 6-8 feet. Works pretty good

Here's a little update on what I went with. Pretty simple to do, and works really well. Getting probably an 8'-10' swath.

Will be adding a valve to switch from boom to wand.
