Hey guys my question is if you do some spray painting on a stand how long before you put it back in service? One of my stands is all light grey and sticks out like a sore thumb, I just want to hit it with some o.d. green and some drab brown to break it up some. Thanks.

Few days outside...maybe 5...rain helps. Then hang it in the tree and hunt it a week later.

Are you trying to hide it from thieves? or deer. Because the deer won't care what color it is. If they look up at it, they will see it regardless. If they don't look up...it doesn't matter.

ill hit all my climbing sticks and stands with a coat of rust oleum, or the like, before i put them out. Normally let them sit a few days and put them up til i hang them... a few days would be enough i would think

Light gray is a good thing! When looking up, what color is the sky? Unless its under a canopy of trees in dense forest all the time.

I use mud on a lot of stuff, limb ends I cut for shooting lanes and trailcams. Even use cut leafy branches tied with zip ties to stands for breakup. Just us my water bottle and some dirt when I am setting up the spot.

Doesn't hurt to spray it down with scent spray either before & after you put it up.
