I'm looking at getting a spotting scope that I can just throw in my pack and not really worry about it getting knocked around and also pretty cheap. I have a Swarovski that I paid about 2000 for and I really do not want that to leave its hard case. I have looked at a NcStar that is (suppose to be) water proof, has lense covers and would be easy to haul around. Any suggestions???

    How cheap are you talking?
The Cabela's Trekker scopes are pretty inexpensive and a decent scope for the money.
Bass Pro has their Redhead models as well.

I was hoping less than $100. I just need one to make sure the animal is worth going after. I really hate buying cheap stuff like this but if I drop it off a ledge I don't want to be out too much ya know.
