depends, i got mine for $200 w/tax, but i've seen them go for more and less depending on where you buy.

i bought mine at our local shop.

seems pretty hefty, but spot hogg also has less expensive ones for sale. i don't know of too many people who think that they're overpriced. i don't have buyer's remorse (yet lol) but i feel i got what i paid for.

there are other great companies out there like sword, axcel, etc that also make great products.

Just made a switch from an HHA to a Spot Hogg Hogg-It 5 pin-wraped with the sight light. In terms of quality and adjustability...its amazing. Very pleased so far with my purchase and the switch I made. Picking up my bow saturday from getting re-strung and can't wait to sight her in!!!

Can anyone explain or justify the price? Seems high to me...

I'm in the market for a new 3 pin. What are the pros that make it so expensive?

Really no higher then compatible quality sights...so I guess its what the market can bare. MGB, CBE, axcel and several others are making sight in the same price range.

I asked myself the same question before buying one. Always thought they were a bit pricey. Until mine came in the mail and I held it, mounted it to my bow, and started playing with it...worth every penny! Spot Hogg's quality is excellent! On top of that, my sight for example, the Hogg-It has so much adjustability its crazy....2nd and 3rd level adjustments are great. Overall a great company that puts out some top notch stuff, IMO.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I am really interested in the Hogg Father. I have a Creed XS on the way, and my only concern is the weight. Any Hogg Father shooters out there?

most of the spot hoggs are a little on the hefty side. the fellas at the range that shoot the hogg father have never complained about the weight. the only thing they did was get the new crosshair/lit up pins

T he Hogg Father is maybe the best made moveable hunting sight right now. Except for the weight , its like a boat anchor. Just my opinion but its almost too heavy for most hunting situations. I ended up selling it

I had heard about the weight, that is my only drawback. I shoot a single pin for indoor spots so I would like to stick with a single pin for hunting situations as well.

Spot Hogg sights are extremely durable, Mine has been darn near bullet proof. Sure they are a little more than some sights but they are worth it and Spot Hogg has excellent customer service !

I have a Spot-Hogg hunter with wrap and am very pleased with mine also. To talk about it's strength, I was climbing a tree in my stand this past year and got to a point where it was very difficult to climb and thought it was fatigue combined with the weight of my bow at the end of my tow line and when I looked down, I was frightened to see my bow was hung up on a small tree that had been blown down by a storm. I was pulling so hard prior to looking down I had begun to lift the tree up. When I finally retrieved my bow I was relieved to find my sight had no damage at all. I shot from my tree stand and my sight was still spot on also. So needless to say, I am a believer. Oh, and the adjustability is awesome.
