I am considering buying a Spot Hogg Hogg It 5 pin (.019") sight. My question is what the difference would be between the Small and Large Guard? And which would be the better option? Thanks!!!

Small is 2 inch large is 2 3/8. Depends on your peep size so you can match the alignment ring and your peep

I prefer large guards on my sights with a 1/4" RAD peep. Great combo for hunting and i can still nail X's with it without any issue.

thanks guys, appreciate it! Now it's time to decide on one, That's always the hard part for me LOL I shoot a 1/4" Glow Peep and currently have an HHA XL-5519 sight and they seem to match up pretty well. The XL from HHA is the 2" sight housing. Not sure how much better the 2 3/8" housing would be. Anyone make this type of switch and shoot a 1/4" Peep?

I can't speak for the multi pin Spot Hogg scopes but the sliders like the tommy's, boss, hogg father scopes are different and much smaller. FYI. Spot Hogg measures the OD of their guards whereas HHA measures the ID of their guards. So their 2 inch scope is actually the same size as the smaller hha scope 1 5/8. They don't offer one any larger. I have the same hha sight you do only with .029 pin and order the large 2 inch guard. I also use 1/4" peep. The peep swallowed the scope with a clearly visible ring of light around the scope.

May be a non issue with the multi pin sights. Also if you decide to add a light to the spot hogg dials the light is at the 10 o'clock position causing the bow to arc on the light as it protrudes out of the scope housing.

Those two things were deal killers for me in what otherwise are some of the best made sights on the market.

Look at a CBE Tek Hybrid. They have addressed many of the issues in the right way.

Again FYI. Others mileage and experience may vary. Just don't want someone to do what I did and order a sight that isn't what you think it is before it comes in...

What do you mean it "causes the bow to arc on the light"?
