Hey guys in the market for a new bow sight. I currently shot a 5 pin but want to go to a 1 pin. I found a Spot Hogg Fast Eddie ( not the xl version ) and just wanted to see if anyone is currently or has used it and what their opinions are on it ( quality, ease of setting up, quietness ). Im either going to go with it, an HHA, or the Apex Gear Covert. I was leaning on the HHA but i don't like the idea of not having 2nd and 3rd axis adjustability not built in. I have always heard good things about Spot Hogg products but never used any of them so I wanted to get some fellow bow shooters opinions of them. Thanks in advance! The Fast Eddie is a good site. Just like all Spot Hogg Products its rugged and will stand up to abuse. Having shot both I prefer the HHA over the Fast Eddie as the pins are brighter and retain light longer. The Fast Eddie does come with a dual pin option as well that is good for field conditions and gives you a second reference if need be. Also take a look at the Black Gold single pin sliders but really any one that you listed will be fine. I know that does not really help but I think a lot will have to do with your preference. The products themselves are good and perform as designed in most cases. Good luck.
Thanks for your advice copperhead! I was leaning towards the HHA as well. The only two issues I have found with the HHA that I didn't like was no 2nd and 3rd axis adjustment and all of the older ones I have seen seem to have rust issues with the bolts and nuts but I know you can buy an adapter for the axis issue and a stainless steel after market bolt kit so those aren't deal breakers. Thanks again for the input! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I've shot all of them and I am back to the black gold single pin. The spot Hogg and the HHA are boat anchors. Also the HHA sights rust which ticks me off when I spend $300 on a sight. Black gold is lite and really tough. The are also easy to adjust Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
