I recently picked this up to try out and have to say, I really like it. I was a fixed pin shooter for 20 years for hunting, although the last few years I have used an Axcel Carbon Accutouch single pin sight for 3D.

I ordered this sight in the double pin configuration, as this has the versatility of both a single and multi pin sight. It functions as a single up pin sight offering that great single pin field of view and ability to dial in any yardadge. The bonus is, the second pin. The second pin hits roughly 15 yards beyond your top pin (varies by different arrow speeds). For example if your top pin is set at 25 yards, the second pin will be at 40. This will be very handy in the event of a moving animal with estimating hold over with your top pin (gap shooting) as the deer comes in or moves away from you... or if the deer is in your second pins range. Essentially you have 0 to 40 yards covered with a single pin style sight without having to adjust your sight if you are at full draw or just do not have time to adjust it.

    Highlights:

The sight has a double pointer showing the yardage on your dial for both pins as pictured below (I haven't installed the sight tape yet).

The sight has two interchangeable scope rings. One with a single ring, the other a triple ring.

All of the adjustments are smooth and fluid with solid, positive clicks on the windage micro adjustment.

Simple to install and set the second and third axis.

The fibers are plenty bright, I had to use my sight light shooting in my basement with the Accutouch but do not need to with the Fast Eddie.

    Dislikes:

I wish the dovetail knob was a smaller profile.

Thanks- I ordered one almost 2 months ago but LH was back ordered so I'm still waiting...I'm dead set on vertical pins and this was the first one I found that has adjustability and multiple pin points.

Also have same sight with 3 pin housing. Am super pleased. Agree with the smaller profile on dovetail lock knob. It rubs my quiver a hair when taking on and off. Almost put the setscrew back instead of knob but my case won’t accept the setting I have my sight set at so I have to run it all the way in to fit in the skb. Don’t want to jack with Allen wrench every time to do that.

The newer Axcel dovetail knob is considerably smaller than the Spot Hogg and old Axcels. Maybe look into picking up an Axcel knob.

After checking the Axcel won't fit the Spot Hogg. They have a different size thread.

Bummer. I may just deal with it then or have a machinist at work make me one. It’s just a minor annoyance. Small price to pay for how bad ass the sight is

Is that Zbros worth the $ ? I’ve had couple instances where my pins weren’t bright enough in ground blind. I see Lancaster has it for around buck fifty

It's pretty nice, nothing at all I dislike about it other than the price. I use it for indoor shooting. I just picked up a ground blind and I'm sure it will be great in it as well.

The fact that it has a timer and auto shuts off so the battery doesn't get ran down is so awesome.

Awesome sights, fellas. I have a quick question. I, too, am interested in purchasing a spot hogg but im having a tough time deciding between the Fast Eddie XL and the Hogg Father. Does anyone know the difference between the two?

Some of the key features im looking for in a sight are durability, extension from the riser, and sturdiness. If anyone could comment on those qualities for either of those models, thatd be fantastic!

    Thanks!

I can’t help with the difference on them except I heard someone joke around that the difference was the hog father comes with a case. I am looking to get the FE double pin but it’s seems like no one has them in stock and can not be bought anywhere.

They build them as ordered. According to pin size/colors. I had to wait like 6 weeks for mine cause one of the pieces was backordered

quite a few of them on ebay - unless you're LH. I've been waiting for my XL 2 pin .19 for 3 months.

I initially ordered and received the 2 pin .10 for like $230 on Amazon. Got it and those pins were just too small; had to send it back. Wishing I hadn't and had just ordered a 2x magnifier. Just something to consider.

I have an XL double pin in .010 and .019. I don't mind the .010 pins, though I am using that sight for 3D not hunting.

I also have a 4x lens for it. Haven't shot the lens yet, been to cold and windy since I got it.

The one I am talking about is $219, no tax, free shipping.

I just meant the multi pin housings. They may have some configurations out there but if you want specific pin sizes and colors you’ll probably have to order.
