Name a sports record that you consider will be hard to beat.

    Cy Young 511 wins?

Pete Rose's Career Hit record of 4256. Sadly his gambling addiction will prevent him from being in the Hall of Fame. Nobody ran the bases like Charlie Hustle.

All of these are very solid suggestions and I doubt any of them will ever be beaten. As an Orioles fan and MD native I have to agree on Cal's streak.

I was born in MD and transplanted to Illinois when I was a kid. We grew up watching the O's on Home Team Sports. It kills me that Peter Angelos destroyed such a great organization. Cal wrote a great book "The only way I know" that opened my eyes to the Orioles and their farm team back in the 70's and 80's.
