So I know this website is usually all bowhunting talk, but lets see who can brag up there sporting dog breed the most. I have two english pointers, nothing better!! Style, grace, stamina, is there really a need for other breeds??? :p

I used to be a Lab guy until I got remarried to a wonderful woman that devotes a lot of time to animal rescue. Nothing beats a lab mix!

Here is my last Pure Bred Lab, she was the most amazing dog I have ever known.

Here is my mutt, she is an incredible pooch as well. Half Black and Tan Coonhound and half Black Lab

We've always had Goldens. If I were going to buy today, I'd look seriously at a flat-coat retriever. Our neighbor has one and he's gorgeous :tu:

He sure has changed since I got him from you! He is around 60 pounds now, and jumps right in the bed of my lifted truck :D

Chesepeaks are my fav because of their looks and big chest but struggle a bit with upland
never go wrong with a german wirehaired but tough to ask one to jump in the freezing water after a honker
most under rated vizsla's havent had the chance to work one in the cold.....
most versitile has got to be the lab

I don't have a dog at the moment, but hopefully we will be getting a Beagle soon.

While growing up, we always had at least 10 Beagles. Love the sound of a Beagle running a cottontail. The 13" black and tans are some beautiful dogs.

MNpurple, Great looking lab!! Ive always said when a lab "points" its more of a hesitation before they go in for the flush! Great all around breed,

English Spring Spaniel is where my heart are. Labs are my second choice. My wife wants a Chocolate lab for our next family/Grouse dog. I will probably give a little bit.

Usually she looks more like this:

when I let her get fat last winter. :) Look how tiny she looks next to K.

....ya, I got a lot of pictures of her.

Oh, and we had a vizla here for awhile. We had 7 dogs here at one point.. Two black labs, an irish setter, three weimaraners and the vizla. (and I'm almost deathly allergic to dogs!) The vizla din't handle the cold very well. The weimaraners weren't big fans either but they did better. My lab loves ice and snow. She's from Rhinelander Wisconsin so she's a silly cheesehead dog and can't help it. ;)
