Split drop tine (weird)

    This buck was shot last year at some point and now look at his antlers

    W T H??? Is that an arrow sticking out of his back and is that antler growing out of the bottom of his head around his jaw??

    Definitely something stuck in/on his hind end and his right side obviously damaged from something. If thats an arrow it will most likely come out eventually. The tissue will heal around it and it'll get caught on something and come out.

    See if that antler comes back ok next year - if not i'd put 'em in the freezer.

    Id say it is likely that at sometim ethe buck has had a head/skull injury.

    I have seen 2 deer with antler growth similar to this. Both deer had been harvested.

    After capeing them out a past fracture of the skull was evident.

    I had 1 very close to the same rack but much larger in northern MN never got him on cam but he was at my deck eating bird seed 3or4 times a week
