I'm thinking I'm going to try out the Spitfire MAXX this year. I'm shooting a 2008 Diamond Marquis 60# 30" draw. I just picked up some FMJ 340's a month ago and just wanted to make sure they would fit (not sure if they fall in the deep 6 category).

they come in deep six and regular too, you should be good to go. I switched to them last year and love them!

Do I need the deep 6 version or regular version for my FMJ's?

It looks like FMJ have deep 6 inserts. Does it matter if I get those or the regular ones? Which would be better for my inserts?

If you have deep 6 inserts you can only shoot deep six broadheads. My FMJs last year unknowingly came with deep 6 inserts, my standard spitfires would not thread. You'll have to purchase deep 6 heads.

My regular killzones fit fine. Maybe I don't have deep 6?

Yes, sounds like you have regular inserts installed.

I shot my first archery deer with a Spitfire Maxx last season, unfortunately that was a spine shot and anchored her right there. The coup de grace was with another Spitfire Maxx and it makes a heck of a hole in them. I think its a really good broadhead for whitetails, good luck this season.

I used theses last season. The 2 does that I got, you would have to be blind not to see the blood trails that they left. This year im going to try some toxic broad heads.

I shot this doe with a 100 grain Spitfire Maxx this year, put a good hole in her. I like them.
