You are shooting 8 pounds heavier and 3 inches long than the OP. That is night and day different. Your bow would shoot the same arrow about 46 feet per second faster than his. I would also say try the current arrows out but I do not think it will tune well walk back tuning the broadheads.
I figured I was just a bad shot as I was having a problem getting much for groups. Remembered I had a couple old Beman ICS 400s a buddy gave me when I first got started. Pulled those out and it was night and day difference. I think I definitely should stick with the 400s. Now I just have to decide if I want the velocity or the XT hunters. And if I want to stick with the hundred grain broadheads or jump up to 125?
Am I best to stick with just a standard GT XT Hunter? Would my setup be better with a heavier arrow like the pile driver? Or what do you all recommend?[/QUOTE] I like heavy arrows. My Spyder 30 is set at 60#, 30" dl & I shoot a 340 spine FMJ with a completed weight of 517grs. It hits hard!!
The velocity with the 125 grain heads will weigh about the same as the hunters with 100 grains heads. The benefit of the velocity with the 125 grain heads is improved FOC which will give you better energy transfer from your bow to the arrow and offers better broadhead flight as well.
