So I won some Black Eagle Carnivores on FB from the Born2Hunt fellas (Thanks again!)

    Here is my question...
They are a 300 spine, according to their site the 300's would be a bit stiff for my set up.
The chart shows the 300's starting at 70lb and 30"
I shoot 70lb and 28"... Is this enough difference to worry about?????
If I employed the heavier outserts as oppossed to the inserts would the increased FOC change the spine enough????
They are also a bit lighter GPI wise than the Eastons I have been shooting.. 8.5 GPI vs 9.5

    Thoughts please...
I wanna try these out just unsure how I should set them up

Cut them to your normal length and put a 125 grain broadhead on them. If that goes, well, and you don't mind extra weight, try adding weights to the insert.

also if you leave them slightly longer the spine will be weaker.

What bow are you shooting? I ran the numbers in OT2, and you would be dead on with a 125gr head (+/- a few grains for your insert/nock/fletching choices). However, it does vary depending on cam style a bit.

Adding extra weight would certainly help you with FOC and bringing the spine inline if you're on the stiffer side. The numbers I ran were for a 1 cam extra hard which is what many Binaries come up as the default in OT2. The medium and soft cams are going to yield a more stiff result.

Matt I am shooting a Drenaline... Part of my desire to increase the FOC also comes from the Black Eagle being a lighter arrow than my Eastons. I felt that the Eastons with a 100gr BH were really right where I needed to be weight wise overall. BTW I do cut my arrows a bit longer than my DL. So part of my concern is losing penetration with the lighter arrow??? Should I worry?
