Ok so yesterday I told my grandmother's story today I'll tell mine.

A few years ago my grandfather on the other side of the family passed away, he was in his mid 90's and very independent and thankfully his mind was sharp as a tack until the end. When he passed away it was slow and progressive, we were able to go talk to him the day he died and he told us he was ready to go "home". He also said "Say hi to grandma for me", which at the time I thought was strange because he was the one moving on to join her. On his passing my wife and I asked my aunts and uncles if we could purchase his house as it had been in the family since it was built around 1910. They agreed, and we started working on restoring it to use a weekend/summer home. The next year we spent much of the summer in the house working and living. We had a few strange things happen but always wrote it off as us being silly, it is strange being in the house with all his stuff to start.

A couple times I was working on switching out some electrical components and would go down and switch off the breakers and return upstairs start to work and get a shock because the line was hot again. I wrote it off as haphazard workmanship when the old wiring was installed as in some places we had multiple lines converging through the same boxes, until one day when I was working on a newer circuit in the kitchen area. I had gone down and switched off the breaker, came back up and flipped the switch to double check and the line was dead. Climbed the ladder and started my work removed the cover on the light, it was a pretty nice globe so I carefully climbed down and placed it on the table, turned around the light was on. Confused I started to yell at one of my kids for turning it on, like any good dad does, when I looked over and realized the wall switch was off and no one else was in the house. Went down stairs and the breaker was still off, when I returned upstairs the light bulb was dark again. It was then it hit me.

My grandma had passed away well before my grandpa, they had been prepping for their 50th wedding anniversary when she had a brain aneurysm and passed a short time later. She was always a bit of a prankster and loved a good laugh. After her death my cousins and I would stay regularly with Grandpa during the summer and often would hear him talking aloud to her, we became accustom to it and didn't think much of it. It was actually kind of sweet when you get right down to it.

Over the next couple years we had several more strange things happen, cupboards slamming while we are all in the living room watching a movie, hearing water running at random times, feeling a cool breeze on a hot summer day and things like that. Over time my family learned to joke that it is just grandma when something strange happened and then suddenly it stopped. For the last 2-3 years we haven't really had anything happen, to be honest there is a part of me that wonders why and kind of misses it.

I used to live in St. Charles Illinois, Myself and a few others over the years have witnessed a ghost in the apartment we lived in. The three block area is rumored to have three different ghost, a lady at the Baker Hotel, an Old Indian Guy and a little dark haired girl. We witnessed the little girl several times, I **** you not she was playful and hid things in the apartment. One time my girlfriend couldn't find the wedding ring her mom gave her, she used to wear it almost daily. I heard her having a conversation while in the bathroom drunk and heard a little girls voice and she came out of the bathroom saying the little girl showed her where the ring was, in a pair of shoes buried in the closet that she hadn't worn in months. I went into the bathroom and no girl, she swore she was there and I heard the voice. Later after we broke up I heard the voice again a few times and eventually had an encounter.

The area is also home to Munger Road which a movie is based off of, I have been out there and never witnessed anything but several have.

Currently we have a neighbor named Chris Fleming who is a Ghost Hunter, the dude is supposed to have ghosts in his house but we haven't witnessed it. We do hang out with him from time to time and he has a lot of crazy stories.

I've heard of this. My Grandpa talked about an angel just before he went.

Soldiers Delight environmental area in Baltimore County has an uphill in neutral spot. The legend is the ghosts of the dead soldiers push you off the spot where they stacked their bodies.

Here's a page on the phenomenon with a list of others. Our "Gravity Hill" is the 3rd one down.
