One night at about 4am our daughter, a little before her third birthday, got up and walked into our bedroom. She crawled inbetween us and I started to fall back to sleep. Suddenly she started screaming bloody murder and it scared the living **** out of me. I turn on the light and she's freaking out looking at the sheets and saying "He's under there!" We asked her who it was. She just told us it was a bad man. She wouldn't go back to sleep and had to sit on top of the bed with the lights on looking at a book. Jill and I wondered if she really did see something, like kids often do. Ever since then she gets up nearly every night and when I see her walking to our room she always looks back at her room and won't let me take her back in there. It freaks me out.
When I was 9 I got up in the middle of the night and sat on our couch. After sitting there a few minutes this glowing ball started rolling out from behind a chair and into the middle of the room. It rolled like one of those balls with a weight to one side. I watched it for a little bit and it started rolling towards me and then in front of the chair. I then started screaming and it just slowly rolled back behind the chair where it came from. Freaks me out to this day. Also, even into HS, in the same house I would lay in bed at night and hear someone clipping their fingernails outside of my bedroom. I would get up and it would quit. Then a few minutes later it would start again. It didn't happen every night, but quite often. I thought it was something in the house, but could never figure out what it was and it would always stop when I started to get out of bed. My younger brother says he has had some experiences while growing up there too.
It does freak me out. We kept trying to cover her up with the sheets and she just kept freaking out. It made me feel like something was in the bed with us too. What bothers me more is these experiences shape a young kids life and stay with them.
when my son jay was 5 we were building a dog kennal. me and my buddie were working and heard my son talking. we went to see who it was and no one was thier. i asked my son who he was talking to he said his grandfarther and was it cold and this was in july. i said what did he look like jay told me and fit my dad to a t. at that time my dad was passed for 10 years
I got up at 4:00 AM to go hunting one morning and when I went outside I saw this dude in my front yard dressed from head to toe in white. He had white hair and a white beard. I went back inside, loaded my rifle and came back out and he was gone. Super creepy, I never did know if he was really there or if I was imagining it. I haven't thought about that in years... thanks Hook... that's all I needed.
When I was real little and I was afraid of something in my room, I would walk into my parents room and get within an inch of my moms face and just wait until she somehow sensed I was there, her scream used to scare me more than whatever made me go into their room, so I ran the heck out of there. Also, my sister once had a nighmare that my parents were vampires, so when they went to her room to check on her, she flipped a **** and wouldn't let them close, all they could do was leave the room. So, dad being dad, waits until he almost closes the door and than starts making hissing noises at her, he still laughs pretty hard when he thinks about that. Thought I would lighten the mood, I may repeat the first story tonight if I keep reading these stories haha.
My buddy's dad went to the dentist one morning. He was a teacher in High School, and used to give me crap all the time. Well, he got home, still a bit woozy from getting wisdom teeth pulled, and he fell down in the bathroom. Died about 2 hours later at the hospital of a sudden brain anyeurism. Me and my buddy spent the next 3 years of High School, just as normal kids would, playing video games into all hours of the night on weekends. We both swear we used to hear him calling our names. He then moved out of that house in college, and moved down the street with his mom. I was over at his place, it was around 1 am, and his cat came over by him with its hair raised, and hissing behind us. We turn around to see the standing chest freezer slam shut. It was loud enough that his mom woke up and came down stairs to yell at us for being loud, only we had nothing to do with it. I will never forget that night. My Mother in Law passed away suddenly about 3 years ago from a brain anyeurism also. She and my son, who was 3 at the time, were REALLY close. Soon after she passed, we got a cat. This cat, from the moment we got her, slept by my son's head every single night, and would follow him around. My son also said that he talks to Grandma in Heaven, and once asked how he could get there to visit. Its creepy, but nice at the same time, because I know my MIL loved my son more than anything in the world.
Wow these are all creepy. Mines not a ghost story just really weird. It was this last hunting season and I got up at 4:30 and started to get ready. Got dressed and went out to start my jeep. When I went outside there was an old guy, leaning on my jeep with a little hand held radio playing music that was real creepy. It was like the music from the movie "Strangers" which really freaked me out. He just stared at me so I said how are ya and he just still stared. I'm half asleep and really don't know how to deal with this so I go back inside grab my bow case and 10 seconds later go back out and he's gone. No sign of him. I really feel like it happened but I was half a asleep and where the hell could he of gone. And what the hell was he doing listening to music leaning on my jeep at 4:30 am ha ha.
And the way the streetlight was on him I couldn't identify him. I remember he appeared old and way under dressed for the weather. I wasn't really into the hunt that morning I couldn't think of anything but that guy. It still freaking me out.
One night about thirteen years ago I came home from my girlfriends house and I climbed into bed. After laying there for a bit I was tossing and turning and couldnt sleep. As I lay there there in the pitch black, I roll over and I notice a light in the corner of the room. As I am looking at it and I am trying to figure out where its coming from I start to realize that this light cant be coming from something else putting the light there. There is no street lights, and my door is closed and all the lights in the house are off. So at this point i am getting a little freaked out and start telling myself not to panic. So i am looking at the light and its like a glowing green ball, or an "ora" in the corner. I look away to plan what im going to do which is throw the covers off and make for the light switch at the end of my bed. When i grabbed the covers i looked up at the light and there was a pair of lime green glowing eyes on the ora, and in that split second i even saw them move. As i threw the covers off and started across the bed, the glow moved from the corner and went across the room. It looked like how smoke moves if you take a cigarette and move it from left to right you will see the smoke but it dissapears quickly. Needless to say i turned on the light and went and slept on the couch with all the lights on. After that i never slept in the dark again, i always slept the the tv on and the door open. So a couple months later, after not seeing anything again, my girlfriend sleeps over one night. We were out to a movie, not even a scarey one. Came home and climbed into bed. Naturally most people dont sleep with the tv on so she wouldnt let me have it on. On top of that she closed the door. So i was nervous but hadnt seen anything in a long time so i said whatever. So were laying there for a little bit and there is no light in the corner so i roll over. I am facing one way and she is facing the other way. The way she faced is where i saw the light the first time before. A couple minutes go by and she says to me, where is that light coming from. I turn and look and sure as ****, the light is there. Naturally i had previously told her the story and i doubt she believed me at that time. So i say to her do you remember the story of the light and she says ya, i said well thats it right there in the same spot. Shes like well its gotta be coming from somewhere. I say look around the room and tell me where else you see light coming in. She does for a minute and backs up to me and says turn on the light, so i turn over to hit the switch on the lamp next to my bed, as soon as i reach out to turn it on she says its gone ! I stopped reaching for the light and turned around to look and it was gone. I shook my head, closed my eyes, and opened them and it was not there. So she says turn it on, and i turn back around to hit the light and she says its back ! I turn and i swear on my daughters life it was back ! I turned again and hit the light. After that night i slept with my tv on for roughly ten years. Currently now i have been sleeping the past three years without it on, and its because my woman cant stand the tv being on. I have never seen it since then, she also has never seen it. I really try not to think about it when i go to bed, but since this thread was started i figured i would write about it. I am in no way ashamed or embarrased in telling my story. I was 17 at the time this happened and i know what i saw. Hopefully when i go to bed tonight i can sleep after telling this story again Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
This is something that happened recently that kinda freaked me out; My mom was staying the night at our house because her and my wife were going somewhere the next day. Anyways, she is sleeping in the front guest room. Me and my wife are sleeping in our room towards the back of the house. In the middle of the night, I hear a blood curdling scream coming from what sounded like the front of the house. It honestly sounded like a woman screaming my name. When I hear it, I immediately sit up from bed and wait to see if I hear it again. I don't hear anything again, so I just chalk it up to dreams or the wind. Well the next morning, I'm up making breakfast, and my mom walks in the kitchen and asks me if my wife screamed last night. My face turned really white and I explained to her that no, but I heard a scream as well, but I thought it came from the front of the house. My mom said she heard it, but thought it came from the back of the house. She swore it was a scream when I tried to say it must have been the wind.
