I don't have any myself, but I love reading them. A few from people that I know. - My wife swears she saw her cousin sitting on her bed when she was young. The cousin had died about a year before. My wife gets this look on her face when she tells the story, so I know she really believes she saw her cousin. - My college roommate's neighbor has a 4 year old. The kid waves and smiles and says "Hi" all the time to a certain corner of his room. When asked who he is talking to you, he says "my friend", but if you pick him up and hold him close to the wall in which he was looking, the kid absolutely freaks out and screams "No! Don't let him touch me!" This has happened on multiple occasions. The parents have videotaped it, and it is very strange/freaky.
This could be really interesting, I too like reading stories like this. I haven't seen anything before but i have had times where someone was in the room with me or even had a hand on my back when i was the only one in the room.
Check out "13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey." It was written in 1969 and was a very popular book when I was in grade school.
Both of my EMS stations are located in funeral home basements. I pick up a few dead bodies a week for the local PD and Sheriff Department (some real creepy stuff...hangings, fire victims, homicides, suicides)...besides my friend cell phone incident i have never seen a ghost or anything haunted, BUT, alot of guys at work have seen ghost children, had weird things happen, presences, noises, things disappearing or falling. I chalk them up as ghost stories.
In pastoral counseling, one of the phenomenoms I frequently encounter is widows telling me they are visited by their late husbands. It is one of those things I have no explanation for but it happens too often to dismiss. Typing it here makes the hair on my neck stand up.
man...I wish I could edit my title. I can't believe I typed "here" instead of "hear"... I hate my brain.
I was hanging with my ex step brother one night. A friend of his had just passed a few days before. They had a pretty nasty fight and didnt get to make up before she died. His phone goes off and it was just a voice mail. Hes listening to it and his face turns white and he started to shake. He had me listen to it, and it was her. Started out normal, "Hey I miss you. Hope we can sit down and talk this over and make up..." something along them lines. After she says goodbye, theres a few second gap and her voice turned real creepy and it said "your gonna die". The date and time on the voice mail was when we listened to it, he had full service but no missed call, just the message. Was so creepy. He was mixed up with the wrong crowd, into drugs and a few things like that, so could have been some a hole messing with him. But I knew the girl also and would have bet anything it was her voice...sounded just like her so if it was someone else they did goo. I lost contact with him about a year later after our parents split. Last I knew he was still alive. Was just a real strange thing for sure.
It is really freaking strange to watch. The kid is just having a good time, waving at the wall, talking to his "friend", then his Dad picked him up, moved him closer, and the kid just lost it. Freaked me the hell out.
Not to hijack, but if your guys are into freaky little children movies, check out the little known film "The New Daughter" with Kevin Costner. Holy eff balls is it creepy. I guess we could add in Insidious and Case 39 too, but New Daughter was the best IMO.
I can't watch freaky kid movies. Can't do it. If my daughter ever just stares at me one night and says something like "the bad man sees you" I might just have to leave and never return to my house.
The night my father passed away I went outside and started a campfire in the backyard pit just to sit and reflect alone. After a little while just sitting there I started to "feel" his presence. Somehow I could strongly feel he was there in spirit. So I talked to him, told him I love him and will miss him. I believe wholeheartedly he heard every word I said. I know it sounds weird but I just can’t explain the real feeling I got. That was the only thing I’ve ever experienced “ghostly”. Still can’t explain to this day.
Yeah none of that for me. Takes a lot to freak me out, but for some reason Case 39 did...I dont need similar movies in my life lol.
My dad passed away 3 years ago and I've only had one moment where I thought I felt his presence. I got a tattoo (my only one) of his initials on my arm. While getting the tat, I swear I heard my dads voice say " You are an idiot" :D He wasn't a fan of ink
