    ..just saw your post that you were told to shoot spikes that were over 2.5, if i had a 3.5 year old spike yah i'd thump him!..i personally never seen one

    I believe I saw a 2 1/2 year old spike back in my earlier days of hunting. The spikes were atleast 8"-10" tall. I did try to take him but I don't think I had even killed a deer at that time and I got buck fever and put a 30-30 slug in a tree next to him.:D

    yea those bucks wouldn't have the time and lots of doe's wouldn't get bred at all

    Before I got my first deer I shot at a spike (but I missed) mostly because I wanted to get my first deer on the ground. But now I wouldn't shoot a spike. I would say wait for something bigger.
