I don't want to get too emotional and sappy here... but this is very special bird I killed this am. My father passed away this past weekend. He and I were very close. He taught me to hunt and to appreciate the great outdoors. Over the past several years, my father has been ill and had to live his hunts through my success and failure stories. Today I was able to harvest a bird that I have been hunting for all season. It was a nice breezy morning and felt that my father was by my side for this hunt. Thanks for bringing him in dad... I love ya and am gonna miss you.... i'll see you on the other side... RIP
Sorry for your loss man, it's never easy! He will always be by your side, remember that, and he is certainly very proud of you I'm sure! Congrats on the very meaningful bird bud!
Thoughts and prayers with you, congrats on the bird and you know your father was watching over you on the hunt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry to hear about your dad. That's rough. Glad everything worked out with the bird though. Congrats!
