Do you have more info on them? What makes them special? I am interested. I have a D340 and a Sentinel on order and while I plan on putting a SuperPeep in the Sentinel, for 3D, I am always open to new stuff. What angle do they have? I was planning on using a 38 deg Tru Peep.

Ben honestly the red anodizing is what drew Greg and I to them as the red definitely will look nice with the Octane accessories.

It is supposed to gather more light. I'll know more once I get them in my hands. I'm sure Greg will get to test his before I have a chance to test one so hopefully we'll have that info as well in a week or so.

Once I get my D-350 it is going to be customized and won't be together for at least 3 weeks, but I figure at this point in time it really doesn't matter.

This is a copy & paste describing some of the differences in the Peep Ben.

The precision Swiss CNC machined Red EYE is a simple yet innovative concept designed to collect and deliver more light to the archer’s eye while still maintaining its purpose of archers attention on one’s target and pins. Contradicting traditional concave peep sight construction, the Red EYE uses a convex entrance pupil that’s larger in size and based upon the proven design of a how a binocular or scope bell gathers more light. This additional light is then transferred through the exit pupil and directly into shooters eye, equaling better aiming in low shooting light situations and the possibility to remain on stand as the soft glow of dusk and dawn tints the timber.

Like I said once we get hands on we'll know more. :-)

I knew I should have held off on buying the Admiral last year. Isn't it (Admiral, Captain, Sentinel) the whole reason for the new roller guard assembly. I feel shafted. :(

Why did this have to turn into a referendum against me?........lol

Can we not disagree? I never called into question your honesty, Greg. I actually have a lot of respect for you. You've always shot straight with me......and I appreciate that. I've always reciprocated, and your review simply took me aback. Straight shooting.

It's hard for me to comprehend such a disparity in opinions. Says nothing as to who's "right:" or "wrong". No one has to be either.

I said it was a great looking bow..I merely stated a visual impression of the guard
I have not shot the bow nor do I plan too.

I have bought and installed products on my bows based on Greg's reviews in the past.

If he says it's a non issue I believe him.

No need to single me out just because I'm not a Bowtech and Predator Camo guy.. Mr. BH.com staff member, your bias is showing

I have one predator camo hat and shirt and my dog's name is Hoyt.... that's bias? I think it's fairly comical that if there is anyone going to post anything negative, it's a safe bet that it's the guy who's name is "[great attitude]." Definition of irony?

Greg, MeanV, etc... I have an Alley for sale ;) :D

Dubbya, I hear you! There will be several on the market this year! All kidding aside it would be a great time to pick up a Great used hunting bow if you don't want to/can't spend the $$ on New.

Many guys shooting the Ally's and Tributes never got over the Look of the CP BowTechs and hung on to their bows. I have a Captain that I have No intention of parting with yet, but like one Ally shooter told me after shooting the Destroyer a couple of weeks ago. "Now we're talkin' That thing is Awesome! Get me one on order and sell my Allegiance" as he handed his Allegiance to the shop owner.

As a side note (I haven't checked AT recently), is anyone receiving LH models yet?

If they are, I'm gonna be pissed. I am pretty sure that I have one of the first orders placed. ;)

Rob sold his Ally too. I guess it is a trend, I don't have one to sell, but my I am currently accepting payments on my Air Raid.

Nah, I knew it was gonna be a awhile, they'd have just been guessing. I know they are staying on their local rep. to get it, but it will come when it's ready I guess.

I have an Alley for sale also :)

As for being negative..I merely pointed out an opinion, an observation.
One instance of something "looking" mechanically inferior on an otherwise nice looking bow.

At that point it was merely an Engineering Hypothesis. The scores of board memebers who PM'd me, privately, not wishing to be labeled as fellow "Bad Seeds" lead me to the following link. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1117904

Like the issues with the "General" I'm sure it will be ironed out in due time. For now, a final verdict should be postponed until we find an impartial jury.

If you took the time to read Matt's posts on that thread. You would know what the problem was and it was Not a problem with the FLX guard at all.

I am sure you didn't and I can't blame you as over 90% of the posts are nothing but BS.

If I remember reading this correctly last week, Matt had advised that either hand torque or string torque was causing the strings to come off of the cam right? Essentially the blame is due to the form of the individual shooting the bow and once the string derails from the cam the roller guard assembly breaks under extreme pressure?

Let's make it easy on everyone and pull out Matt's responses, which obviously are spot-on... I wouldn't want to read through 15 pages of that garbage either!

    and...

    next...

There's probably way more... I quit following the thread after about five pages or so... but you get the gist.

I'll also add this, and perhaps I should make a new thread about it on all the forums... I basically DRY FIRED my brand new Destroyer 340 two nights ago!!! Through no fault of my own though ... unless you fault me for not checking my equipment every single shot (in this case, the arrow components)...

I shoot Bohning pin nocks on my arrows, and something had happened to it after a shot. I was shooting one arrow at a time (only had one arrow in the room with me) into my Spyderweb target across the lower level of my house... Everything had been fine until one shot when it literally sounded like a dry fire... The arrow hardly penetrated the target at all, and I saw two objects go flying through the air off to either side. I walked over and picked them up, and it was the two halves of my pin nock, split exactly down the center.

So... the arrow took hardly ANY of the energy from the bow, and it was just shorty of a dry fire. Looked the bow over, grabbed another arrow from my archery room and went back to shooting. She's as deadly quiet and perfect as she ever was.

Also, raceway.. .these instances aren't happening while shooting the bow.

Almost every instance that I know of has been verified when someone grabbed a handful of string at a shop wanting to get a feel of the draw-force curve... usually they don't even have an arrow loaded.

That's why at our booth, we had all our bows zip-tied... you wanna shoot it until you're blue in the face? Go for it... we had multiple shooting lanes set up right across the aisle. As Matt pointed out, we had hundreds and hundreds of people come through those shooting booths, and suffice it to say all the bows weren't fitted for the shooters... without one problem.
