Oh... on another note. I was looking through the issue of Petersen's Bowhunting that features all the new gear in that issue they always give us at the ATA show... inside that they featured a new peep sight... comes in sizes all the way up to the 1/4" which I use in conjuction with the large pin guards I order on my Spot Hoggs.

Anyway... it comes in an anodized red... which will PERFECTLY match the red highlights on this bow. I'm going to call them up an order a couple tomorrow. :)

Alright, if you say so but don't say I didn't tell ya so Rocket man...;):D

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
    Zero hour nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
    It's lonely out in space
    On such a timeless flight
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man
And I think it's gonna be a long long time...

    I'm sooo bad...:p:D

I have never had any trouble with the rest cord moving on the BowTechs. I actually think the Invelvet helps hold it, but on the PSE I couldn't get it to stay put to suit me & I did Not want to send something out with a customer that would cause him a problem at the worst possible moment. Greg sounds like you saw the new attachment thingy :-)

I'm still waiting to get my anodized red peep from ya before I tune her up fully... :)

But... I did JUST get through putting about 20 arrows through her down here into the Spyderweb from about 10 yards or so... Just for grins, I went back into my archery room and grabbed my '08 Allegiance that I was so fond of... Shot about five arrows through her. Unbelieveable...

Seriously... the Ally felt like a big, fat old tuning fork going off on every shot, and I've got a Stealth stabilizer and MZE Zero Effect on it that's been rated by independent testers as the quietest rest available... same arrow I'd been shooting through the new D-340.

And given the D-340 is about 15 fps faster, and has a smoother dfc than the Ally with fast mods?

She's an amazing bow, I'll tell you that much already. :)

    No....."seriously"?

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt in their personal bow reviews.....and always figure there's gonna be a little "brand bias" with some.

    But seriously......

I've shot both of these bows (and owned two ally's). The only "tuning fork" effect I felt in shooting either.....was the vibration from the Destroyer's roller flex guard. I could actually (not literally) SEE it vibrating after the shot.

I've got my armor on. Let 'em fly.

    Seriously.

It's THAT much more dead in the hand than the Ally.

Can't put it any more simpler than that.

I turned Dan on to these peeps last week, and I know he ordered enough to stock for his business... I think he said they'd be in next week.

I guess we'll chalk it up to a difference of opinion, then. But I honestly won't know how to take further reviews.

I know we all see things differently. Hell.....there's supposedly a Mr. (Janet) Reno, huh?

I'd offer to let anyone shoot the two bows side by side... Hell, Jeff... why would I say one had less BLATANTLY less hand shock than the other if it didn't? The D-340 IS that much more dead in the hand than the Ally.

Yeah, that's me ... I'm well known for having spent over a decade on these forums lying about my perceptions or findings...

So what all did you set up on your Destroyer? What kind of stabilizer did you have on it? Which sight did you pick out for it... You're going to have to remind me, because I forgot that information in your review.

Good thing I put on my armor.

Why are you asking me? I don't know?????

So we're now not allowed to have a difference of opinion? The above words are yours.....and nobody here is calling you a liar. I think you know me better than that. If I wanted to do that....I'd have said "Greg.....you're a liar". I said we obviously have a difference of opinion. That's not acceptable (apparently).

Never said I owned a Destroyer, either. I said I've shot one. It had a Spot Hogg sight; octane quiver and a WB rest. Relevance?

And, I'm pretty sure after reading this post.......you wouldn't like my review. But, if you'd like.....I'll post one.

You're truly funny, you know that?

You call into question my honesty through not-so-veiled statements, then wonder why I ask you what I did? And of course you play all innocent... typical, Jeff... it really is.

What you don't understand is that MANY people on these forums are smarter than you give them credit for. WAY smarter.

Greg, I know exactly what you mean. The day I spent shooting the shop's D-350, at one point there was 5 of us shooting. We had a Tribute, an Ally, Soldier, and the D-350 shooting them alternately. It was amazing the difference in the feel of those Bows. I have been a Big fan of the Ally hunting with an 05, 06, and an 07, but the Destroyer IMHO just blows it away. I was Not alone in those feelings either.

This area has some devote Tribute and Allegiance shooters and I know at that time the shop had their Destroyer 350 in for less than a week and he had already had 3 guys that had shot it hang up their Tributes and Ally's and put a Destroyer on order. They are that Sweet!!

Ben, I actually picked up a dealership for the Redeye peep. I thought it was a nice option in peep sights so I plan on carrying them. Right now the 3/16" and 1/4" is all they had in stock. They will have 1/8" peeps available in 4 to 6 weeks.

Honestly they should be here mid next week. SHhhhh!! Don't tell Greg ;-)

Agreed, Dan... I know Rick James told me the same thing; that the ONLY reason he sold his Ally recently was because of how pleased he was with his Destroyer; he was planning on keeping it much longer.

I'll never sell my Ally simply because it's a one-of-a-kind that BowTech made especially for me... but it simply doesn't compare in shot feel now to the Destroyer.
